York Gin Afternoon Tea - ‘History in the tasting’

We are delighted to be partnering with our local distillery, York Gin for an afternoon tea with a difference in the stunning surroundings of Leetham’s Restaurant, our very own piece of York history.

We have 3 York Gins to choose from, take your pick from London Dry, a beautiful, smooth, and balanced dry gin, best served with a fever tree light and a curl of lemon, Old Tom, a very slightly sweetened dry gin, with Yorkshire Rose and herbs from the Michelin-starred Star Inn, Harome, best served with a fever tree light and star anise, or Roman Fruit, a full-strength dry gin with no added sugar. Fruits and flowers from Ancient Rome including strawberries and hibiscus give it a deep red hue, best served with a fever tree Mediterranean and strawberries and raspberries.

Then we have a delicious traditional afternoon for you with a delicious twist!! To accompany your selection of freshly cut finger sandwiches and cakes, we have a warm scone and clotted cream served with Pink Grapefruit & York Gin Marmalade! Beautiful, we will let you decide whether it’s cream on the bottom or on the top.

And finally, a freshly brewed tea or coffee to finish.
